You might want a full set of spare power cells and only change them once they die out to save yourself the constant back and forth. How fast you drive will matter, if you use any of the modules like the shield and sonar that will matter. You could charge up the power cells at a base instead. Before you could recharge and it was no problem, now it's best you don't do that. If you built a power cell charger in your cyclops that is draining your power.

I've heard from people saying they no longer stack and they do still stack. You could stack them before and that would help.

The power efficiency module is essential. Chances are the vids you are watching were recorded before these changes. Please know that they changed the power and how it works over time. Tip: Don't charge Power Cells in a Cyclops and ONLY charge batteries if you desperately need them.ħ) Seamoth/Prawn Suits recharge when docked with the Cyclops, and will drain 1:1 power as such.ħa) If you have the Cyclops Docking Repair module, that also drains power when repairing a docked vehicle. that takes a 1:1 power ratio from your Cyclops. If you're charging batteries, power cells, using Fabricators, etc. Use only one.Ħ) Anything that uses power in the base will also use power in the Cyclops. Don't waste too much power on them.ĥ) Energy Efficiency modules don't stack. Ampeels and Crabsquids can damage your cyclops yes, but you can run them over or simply move away from them before repairing. Turn on the shield ONLY before an angry leviathan hits the Cyclops, and turn it off immediately afterwards.Ĥ) The ONLY true threat to the Cyclops are angry leviathans. Use only when absolutely necessary.ģa) Sonar: Ping once, turn it off, and figure out where you want to go, then head in that direction until you need to figure out where you are again.ģb) Silent Running: Use with Slow speed when passing by Leviathans and turn off once you're far away enough.ģc) Shields: Check the radar on your right while piloting. Make SURE it's off.ģ) Sonar, Shields, Silent running drain tons of power even if used for a few seconds at a time. Active engine drain is constant even if not moving.Ģ) Silent Running is a toggle, and keeps draining power EVEN if the engine is off. Tips for conserving power:ġ) Turn off engines when not moving.
